Jet McDonald & The Magical Bicycle Tour 2013

In May 2010 Jet McDonald (pictured above), cycled four thousand miles to India from the UK with a guitar strapped to the back of his bike with a bungee. His new album documents a journey from West to East; from the perfect tarmac of France to the pot holes of Romania, the high Anatolian plains of Turkey to the meditative deserts of Iran and finally the bewildering carousel of India. The insert included with the CD documents the story of each song. Jet has been putting pen to paper for boneshaker since issue #2 and is a top chap to boot! He embarks on The Magical Bicycle Tour this coming Friday with a whole host of other wonderful music-makers. Well worth a look 🙂

Cycling Great Britain

Here’s a nice little film from our pals Lucas Winzenburg (Editor of the superb Bunyan Velo) and Aaron Ortiz (who contributed a great little story to an issue of boneshaker a little while back). They dropped in to see us in Bristol on their way down from John O’Groats to Land’s End. If this doesn’t make you want to drop everything and hop on your bike and get pedalling, i’m not sure what will!
