Bespoked 2013

We had a fantastic time at the Bespoked Handmade Bicycle Show last weekend. Thanks to everyone that came along to say hello, especially Glasgow Bike Station mainman Ali Campbell, who rode down from Glasgow on a singlespeed bike built by Eric Estlund from Winter Bicycles (some more of Eric’s work is below).

It was good to catch up with framebuilder Tom Donhou (he’s attempting to take the bike above to 100mph), to meet the peeps behind Pannier, a mapping-based resource for cyclists to find places to stay and rest, and Ted James (finally!) and to catch up with the guys from howies (with whom we’ve collaborated on the t-shirt below), our old friend Dene at il Soigneur and the ever-cheery Rob Penn.

Oh and shouts out to our pals at Look Mum No Hands for the great coffee and cakes.  We were so busy all weekend (in a good way) that we never got a decent picture of our own stand – bits of it looked something like this…

Freshly printed

After the whirl of Bespoked Bristol – what a great weekend that was – we’ve finally got round to adding some beautiful new bicycle art prints to the webshop. There are three from long-time Boneshaker collaborator Adams Carvalho, and three from our new-found friends at the Indian Bicycle Shop. Feast your eyes above and below, and direct your digits thissaway to make a purchase, should you be so inclined…

Weathered Cyclist

Weathered Cyclist is a way for cyclists (or just people who love bikes) to raise money that goes straight back into bike-based projects.

Weathered Cyclist Founder, Ali Campbell, is currently cycling 900 miles (all on a single-speed!) from Glasgow to Bristol for Bespoked Handmade Bicycle Festival this coming weekend and raising money for The Bristol Bike Project and Glasgow Bike Station in the process! Check out the site here for more information.
